DETECTING INDUSTRIAL LEAKS.

Leak detection Leakage in industrial environments not only lead to energy and production loss, the leaked medium can also cause serious damage to humans, animals and the environment. Regular inspections and preventive maintenance of pipes and installations are therefore of great importance.

We specialize in ultrasonic leak detection. We understand the time pressure which you are facing, dealing with (the suspicion of) a system leak. Quick and accurate we detect current leaks, and if desired, also the weak spots that could cause new leakage.

OUR SOLUTION: ultrasonic clamp-on leak detection

  • For any application that contains a full water flow
  • Simple and fast installation
  • Externally installed: Pipes remain intact, no system interruptions
  • Budget-friendly
  • On site Measurement Support

How ultrasonic leak detection works

You probably know the hissing sound caused by a large leak. It sounds logical that very small leaks also make sound, but the frequency is often too high for our ears to perceive them. An ultrasonic detector does register these high-frequency sound vibrations and provides you with insight into the source of the leak.

Provided the flow process is in operation, there are enough sound vibrations to ultrasonically detect a pinhole size leak. High pressure is not necessary. The only frequency that the ultrasonic detector registers is that of the leak. This differs from other background noise or vibrations caused by the industrial environment.

From the outside

Our ultrasonic flowmeters are designed to detect leaks quickly and accurately. Due to the external mounting of the clamp-on sensors, it is not necessary to open up a pipe for inspection. The (production) process can continue as usual during the inspection. An ultrasonic flowmeter can be combined with a pressure meter, temperature sensor or wireless GPRS system, in order to use the instrument for other applications as well.

Leak detection report

In order to prove that leak detections – carried out with an ultrasonic flowmeter – are correct, it could be useful to have the results recorded by us in a report.
Thanks to this report, the leak can be quickly located and repaired. In addition, based on the report, the repair costs can be submitted to your insurer.
