MEASUREMENTS FROM AIR TO CARBON MONOXIDE.

KATflow 180 GThis flowmeter measures the flow of almost any gas using the proven transit time difference technology. The ultrasonic clamp-on sensors are simply mounted externally, keeping pipes and tubes intact and therefore making process interruptions a thing of the past.

The KATflow 180 G (by Katronic™) is the ideal instrument for service and maintenance purposes, control and inspection or even temporary replacement of out of reach measuring points for permanently installed measuring equipment.

Our KATflow ultrasonic flowmeters are well established for liquid flow applications. But did you know that they can also be applied for the non- invasive measurement of gases? Using a unique method allows the measurement of various media; not just for high pressure applications but even down to atmospheric conditions.

This is achieved through advances in sensor technology, powerful sophisticated electronics and innovative signal processing algorithms using Digital Signal Processors (DSP’s). Each gas flow measurement application is evaluated in order to determine the most suitable sensors, the best measurement strategy, algorithms and hardware options.

Because elements such as flow profile, type of gas and pipe material will have an effect on the measurement, the Katflow 180 G compensates for and adapts to changes in the medium in order to provide reliable results.

The KATflow G uses depending on the application parameters either Shear or Lamb Wave transducers to obtain an optimum Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), therefore it is important that the relevant parameters are evaluated with the help of our Application Datasheet.

When installing all ultrasonic clamp-on flow meters, the sensors are simply mounted on the outside of the pipe. This means that the pipe remains intact and there is no risk of blockage, leakage or pressure loss.

Every KATflow ultrasonic flow meter operates based on transit time difference technology. This makes the device highly accurate, providing reliable flow data for almost any liquid, independent of the electrical conductivity of the medium.
