TO MEASURE FROM THE OUTSIDE WHAT FLOWS ON THE INSIDE.
Non-invasive flow measurement – Whether it concerns liquids* or gases, leak detection or energy flow, in an open sewer or closed pipe, above ground or underground; with a clamp-on ultrasonic measuring instrument you will obtain reliable results quickly and easily.
*for example water, diesel and oil, but also homogeneous mixtures such as water / glycol or water / hydrochloric acid.
The external mounting of the sensors makes this method an interesting alternative to in-line measurement. It is not necessary to open up a tube or pipe to be able to take the measurement. Non-invasive flow measurement can also be combined with a pressure meter, temperature sensor or a wireless GPRS system.
WHEN A NON-INVASIVE FLOW MEASUREMENT?
Because of the advantages that clamp-on flow measuring offers (see the right hand side of this page), this technique is used more and more.
- For measuring, checking and adjusting flow, level, pressure, temperature and wall thickness.
- For clear and contaminated liquids and gases. Also for (waste-)water applications.
- In existing constructions, retrofits and new constructions of a system, installation or section of pipes. Especially at sites where no efficient measuring solution was possible before, clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters are now widely used.
HOW DOES IT WORK ?
Our ultrasonic measuring and adjustment instruments are based on the non-invasive clamp-on method. The sensors are mounted on the external wall of a tank or pipe. There is no contact with the medium inside. This is what makes clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeters ideal for measuring concentrations of toxic media, but also for example for slurries, air, scaling and pig detection.
NON-INVASIVE MEASURING ON SITE.
We perform non-invasive flow measurements on site. By means of our ultrasonic measuring solutions, your flow will be readable in no time. We are able to measure a whole series of pipelines quickly and accurately. Extensive reports are optional.
